Egons Rusanovs

Sworn advocate Egons Rusanovs has been practising in the field of criminal law for more than 35 years. He has initially acquired experience in investigative work in prosecutor’s office, and now for many years he has been working as an advocate, specializing in conducting particularly complicated cases. Classic court advocate, scrupulous analyst and preparer of perfectly polished documents – these are the qualities greatly evaluated not only by his colleagues, but also by his procedural opponents. Egons Rusanovs has participated in the development of Criminal Procedure Law, and he is known as the author of many publications in this field. The international incidents over the last years have encouraged him to focus not only on classic criminal law and on criminal-procedural law, but also on matters regarding politically persecuted persons, extradition proceedings, special confiscation of a property and other matters related to co-operation with foreign countries regarding the aspects of criminal law.
